[[01 malaysian trip '05]]

well, i am back frm the malaysian GTC trip of 01 scouts. the trip lasted frm 23rd to de 27th of dec. it was pretty fun lah. n slack 4 a GTC, i mean after de horror i've been thru last year it is like siao lor. so dis is damn slack.

23rd: reached RI at 6.45am. supposed 2 reach at 6.30 but nvm. took a cab dere cos it was raining n inconvenient 2 take de MRT. i mean getting ur shoes wet on the 1st dae isnt sumting veri comfortable is it? we took a grp foto den we set off.

went by de tuas 2nd link. so de rest of de dae was just bus ride lor, wif regular stops n everyone is like eating ramly burger or buying bubble gum. reached pahang at abt 7pm i tink. btw, our lodge was in tents, in a cave lor. dats damn siao. but it is quite cool. it is a pretty big cave, n echoes can b heard, but it is quite dark inside. n dere is a wet puddle. it can b slippery n de stairs leading up 2 de cave is like rusty n gonna collapse any moment. oh yah, dere is no running water. only got a well dere, n de toilet has no flush, so has to draw water n flush it. haha. interesting xperience cos all of us 1st time drawing water from wells. de well water look dirty but when u draw it up it is actually quite clean.

24th: de 2nd dae is veri eventful. de whole dae was abseiling and natural rockwall climbing. dere were 1 rock climbing stations n 2 abseiling stations. on abseiling is easier cos de cliff is smoother. rock climbing is pretty tough man. cos it is natural, so de grips n footholds r quite hard 2 find. but leonard reached de top lor. wtf...i didnt even made it 2 haf way pt...abseiling is much more fun. it is quite scary at 1st but once u get de hang of it(no pun intended), it is quite easy.

25th: the 3rd dae was water caving no.1, followed by bus ride 2 perak campsite. the water caving was fun lah. but like more dan haf de journey spent on trekking in the jungle. not much of a caving huh? but it was fun lah. de cave when we reach inside was seriously huge. on de way we went thru a lot of streams so all our shoes n track pants were wet. had 2 wear track pants cos we might cut ourselves in the caves. den we had 2 get a bit dirty squeezing in the cave. den after lunch set off 4 de new campsite. when we reached dere it was like heaven. de toilet was much better, wif proper showering facilities. dere was a store near it dat sell snacks n stuff. well it is like dose place tourists go to. den got sell ramly burger oso. haha. but at nite, in the 'hall' as we call it, dere r like hell lot of insects lor. a lot of bees on the ground. n de farni ting is dat J1s dun allow us 2 wear shoes inside. so like we were damn careful walking in it cos de bees still had deir stings on. n tons of insects 2 like grasshopper, mosquitoes, flies n other bugs i cannot name. n at nite dere is fireflies! not a lot but definitely nice. haha. u can c just like de odd little speck of lite flying in the air at nite. so nice...

26th: well, dat dae was suppose 2 b de highlite of the whole trip. de white water rafting. but unfortunately, i developed a rash thruout the previous nite arnd my neck. itch like hell. i tink it is sum allergy. walau. nevertheless, in the morning was river caving no.2. dis one is better, grander n more fun. we had 2 crawl like in almost pitch black in the water. we were totally drenched. n de sand hurts ur knee and hands when u put pressure on them. n de rocks overhanging r damn low, so have 2 b damn careful. n at certain times of crawling u cant c a time. it was damn fun n nice experience nonetheless. but after getting myself wet. de rash spread 2 my whole upper body cos of the sand in the river water in the cave. so i coundnt make it 4 de rafting n had 2 stay back. initially de plan 4 dose not going was dat to let dem go visit a castle, but it was called off. so we had like 5 hours of nothing staying at camp. abt 10+ of us. den dat nite we went 4 a campfire at a local sch, st michael institution.

27th: nothing liao. just took a loooooooooooong bus trip back 2 s'pore. on de way we visited a orang asli museum n a chocolate shop. de shop was nice, but it was obviously meant 4 tourists cos of the price...bought 2 tins of de cheapest chocolates. got tongkat ali choc man! bet dey dun have dat in switzerland...

[[chalets]]

wat a bz holidae schedule. 1 dae after GTC hike. i went home frm yuezheng's house. slept till like 7+. den eating dinner dat time peiyi called me, saying if i wanna go 4 a chalet on the next dae. n guess wat, de place is where my class chalet is too. so basically i will b going 2 vanessa's chalet, den after deir checkout go 2 class chalets. dats siao. 2 nites of minimal slp. i am gonna die man. walau. but nvm, i lived thru it. yay. de vanessa chalet is fun lah. met at tampines mall. den went 2 de chalet. 1st was the BBQ lah. den it is like de ACS boys were doing all the work. all i did was fan the flame 4 a while n put the charcoal. dats it. peiyi did the actual barbequing. yah. but i didnt eat the chicken wings at all i tink. haha. we all screwed up by skewering the wings, den like haf of dem were burnt. wth lol. de wedges were pretty nice n done. but it was damn spicy. mebbe cos of my ulcer. den at nite sum of dem had water fite. i didnt play. it was siao, dey were spraying water everywhere lor. omg. most of the ppl like me didnt play. den at thru de nite as far as i can rmb was cards cards cards. daidee, bridge, hearts. all played. but i dunno how 2 play hearts, so i didnt join in dat one. we finally called it a dae n went 2 slp. but well i dun tink u can call dat slp. dey were so noisy man. wth. i can hardly slp lor. but i manage 2 catch a few winks n doze off 4 like 1 hr? den we had leftover pizza. i had a little bit. den we set off 4 de beach 2 c de sunrise. haha. walked some distance lah. when we reached dere it was still pretty dark. so sat down on the beach n talked. (oh yah, all de time de 'we' only referred 2 vanessa, christal(is dat how u spell her name?), louis, peiyi, japheth n me). den we walked along the beach. it kinda suck cos we didnt c de sunrise at all. all we see is de sky slowly lighting up. we drew some pictures on the sand, den had beach softball. haha. it was kinda lame lah. found a stick den try 2 hit stones as far as u can into de sea. i only managed 2 hit 1. it was like damn hard ok. den we went back n played sum more cards. den checked out. went straight 2 de other chalet. haha. our chalet was nicer dan the vanessa's one haha. cos it was newer n cleaner. but only 1 storey but nvm. it had 3 toilets lol. basically de same. but de TV rox. de receptions suck like hell lor. couldnt c anyting. couldnt really recount anyting we did dere. all mixed up. but we played soccer, mahjong, cards, monopoly. den de BBQ was a screw up. haha. kinda miss peiyi. oh wellz. but luckily everyting turned out just fine. thx 2 de microwave. den we had late nite BBQ!!! de stingray rox man. but only got 1. de chicken wings n lamb chops rox too. damn nice. den we went 2 changi village 2 have ice kachang. passed by changi hospital on de way damn scary man. walau. den met sum prostitudes on the way too. haha. dey were pretty common at changi village area. but i heard dat most of dem r transexuals. had ice kachang, den bought 10 packs back 4 de others. mr shahrom n his female ACQUAINTANCE came oso. haha. i seriously dey have a more intimate relationship dan dat lor. haha. den de auntie at de ice kachang store damn cheeky lor. she said mr shahrom's fren chio, but dose at the carpark more chio. go take a look. but dun tok 2 dem. haha. she was referring 2 de prostitudes. lol. den went back n slp. went 2 watch sunrise again, but unsuccessful again. wth. nvm. it was 2 cloudy. couldnt even c de stars. went back 2 slp sum more. after checkout went 2 x square. played until like 2+pm. returned home. had lunch n slp until 7. n here i am. tired but satisfied.

[[GTC hike 2005]]

on fri 11th nov was the annual GTC hike. it is de killer camp. luckily dis year only have a 1 dae hike. last time is 5 dae camp. cos dis year got trip 2 malaysia. yay. but still it is tiring (duh). we hiked a total of 26.9km. quite a lot huh. but last year yuezheng said we hiked like 30km in 1 dae. oh wellz. but hu cares man. assembly place was at boon lay mrt station at 8am. den we had inspection n briefing until 9. den set off. inpection went well lah, 4 our patrol at least. we were 2 1st 2 finish. de sec1s screwed up as usual. but cannot blame dem lah. last year we oso liddat wat. each patrol dis year got diff route, n de patrol leader will draw lots. after plotting our MRN n determining our route. we went off! i was navigating 4 de 1st patrol. haha. 1st checkpt was in NTU. den after dat walked along old choa chu kang rd. de place wif all de graves n cemeteries. haha. 2nd checkpt was in sum ulu place. cos like nobody dere. n plants growing everywhere. den 3rd one is at a temple at bricklands road. 4th is at a playgrd in bukit batok i tink. we had our lunch dere. 2pm having lunch. i was like starving liaoz. 5th one is at sum construction site lah. but i screwed up. we ended up on the other side of PIE, n couldnt cross it. dat place was like damn complicated. wif like 2 canals n AYE n a flyover. how 2 cross?! den we walked along PIE. (fun man) walked like dunno how long lah. on de side de grass patch dere. walau, de journey seemed 2 take 4eva man. den finally went 2 de toh tuck avenue. n into clementi. we walked past nan hua pri! (yay my pri sch) haha. i was quite moralised den cos i am pretty familiar wif clementi. dere is de last checkpt, a taxi kiosk opposite nan hua sec sch. finally we went 2 de end pt, at west coast park. whew. when we finished it was 7pm. just nice. de dateline 4 reaching. haha. so we set off at 9am, ended at 7pm, took 10 hours. pretty long i tink. de whole ting ended at 10pm, cos got debriefing n VOJ. our patrol was having a slpover at yuezheng's house, wich is like 5 min walk away frm west coast park. weijie tore his knee ligament according 2 him, so he went home. anywae after we reached yuezheng house we washed up n bathed n slept. everyone woke up at 4am. start 2 to hike log liao. must hand up on sat 12th nov at 3pm. at ri. so must rush n pia thru the morning. we finished it at like 2pm. n sadikin took at taxi 2 ri. haha. so dat is 10 hours of hike; 10 hours of hike log. den must still c if our log pass or fail. cos it is damn complicated. need 2 draw de checkpt map; route map. n all dose stuff. dats y took so long.

now i must go 4 lunch liao. going 4 a chalet at changi dere. 1st one by de 6g ppl i tink; den on mon it is de one by 2L. haha, same place man. so it is like 2 chalets in 3daes. siao lor. sum more my thighs r still having cramps after walking 4 so long. but i am looking 4ward 2 both haha. ooops, must hurry now. so i wont b around from 13nov 2 15th. so cya guys!

[[chelski's defeat]]

yay, chelski lost at last. but seriously i wanted dem 2 win, cos i would rather man u go down dan chelski. tyco header lor. real tyco. haha. watched the match at choon hiang's house. he just signed up 4 starhub cable n organized a slpover. but only carvin n i went. haha. seetow n zhi went oso but dey cannot stay over. watched the match. den played Dota on choon hiang's com at like 2am. haha. finished de game at 3 but wasnt even tired. oh wellz. but still better 2 catch sum slp. so went 2 slp. woke up at 9am. (OMG) 6 hrs of slp isnt gonna do me any gd, but i wasnt tired so heck lah. den went 2 macs 4 breakfast. carvin went off after dat but i went back 2 choon hiang's house n played sum more. left at 1pm i tink. choon hiang's mom dropped me off at plaza sing. went 2 sch 2 hand up de OBS form. dammit. go 2 sch just 4 dat. 45cents down the drain.

submitted my course options yesterdae. last dae man. my choices are:
1. Physics
2. Chemistry
3. Biology
4. History
5. French

yup, i am taking 11 subjects. haha. i dun tink i can ever tink abt quitting french. cos my mom will nv allow it. it is like she is calling me 2 like mug sum french during dis hols. haha. u noe i tot abt quitting it at times 2. esp after my GP of 2.8, pulling everyting down. haiz... but i tink chances i will b taking it even in JC. haha.

but guess wat. at 8am 2dae, when i was slping. miss sharon xu called me. asking me did i signed up my options. OMG. den i told her everyting. she said dere was probably a prob wif de submission. oh wellz. so i gave her my asknlearn password. hu cares man. hu de hell wants 2 hack ppl's asknlearn account? so i told her my 1st, 2nd n 3rd choices. n i tink she submitted 4 me. but i dunno whether can still get my desired subjects. cross fingers...

[[the breakup(s)...]]

on hari raya was the official 6G03 gathering. almost the whole class of 40 went. but chang peng, mingyi and minghui didnt come. so make dat 37. dats still an impressive figure, so kudos to peiyi and others who have taken the initiative to organize dis ting and spent so much time n effort on it to make it come true. thank you guys!!! however, i tink sum of us were like un-enthu liddat lor. cos it is like there really isnt much interaction between the boyz n the galz. xcept 4 a handful. otherwise the boyz n galz really just kept to themselves and play among themselves. but dere were still fun parts, nonetheless... we play daidee n bridge. basically dats all we were doing at the initial part of the ting. everyone just play, new ppl come n join in. n we opened packets of chips n foodstuff n eat n play. den when everyone is here, hui2 n peiyi organized and we played truth or dare n polarbear or wateva lah. but i tink ppl were pretty bored cos sum just couldnt b bothered. dey were like just lazing around but i oso was like "wth..." i tink truth or dare just isnt veri fun when played among a large grp of ppl. n polarbear was worse. sum dunno wat deir roles r, den sum like cheated n blah... luckily the mass games stopped n i played risk until the end. others like hui2 n yanhan n aaron n eldwin played mahjong. den ppl started leaving towards the end. n we took sum time to clean up b4 we left. n btw, xcept 4 chyi wei (dis gathering was held at a multi-purpose room at her condo), the ppl who cleaned up were all boys... den most of us took a ride from eldwin's mum to west mall. n we parted. i took the mrt home...

but this ting i made a big blunder. an unforgivable mistake. i was in charge of calling the 6G ppl in RI, who were yifei, yitao n louis. n guess wat, I 4GOT TO CALL LOUIS!!! AAAAAH!!! omg, i dun tink i can ever forgive myself man. wth lor. of cos, at 1st i made yifei n yitao my top priority 2 contact cos dey normally dun have communications wif the rest of the 6G ppl. i contacted dem, but 4got louis towards the end. the reason y i left him out n contacted yifei n yitao 1st is because i made an assumption. an assumption dat i was sure of, but it did not happen. n so i made louis unhappy n pissed, n i dunno how to compensate 4 dat. i mean, dose r like the last few moments u share wif ur pri sch frenz, n it is impossible to rewind the time. it is like i am taking away his precious memories, wich is veri dear to him. the assumption was dat, i guessed that he would like always tok the girls and blah. so the natural ting dat came to mind was dat he would b informed sum way or another. but, he was not. n i was to blame. yes, me. i totally 4got abt him towards the end because there r really so much admin stuff i have to do 4 scouts. n to tink, he is one of those who regularly come for 6G meetings n gatherings. HOW THE HELL CAN I LEAVE HIM OUT?!?!?! walau, even 2dae i can still vividly picture in my mind the scene, when the girls all started blaming me, saying "QIANWEI!!!". n hui2 strangling me after she found out. i was smiling at that time, but deep inside i was tinking "omgomg...how can i ever made such a stupid, careless mistake. how am i gonna face louis? how am i gonna face the class? esp when i had been given the trust of the organizing committee?" i dunno, i really dunno. even though now louis has forgiven me (THANK GOD), i dunno how others will tink, esp hui2. i am really really regretful and sry. sry to the organizing committee, sry to the class and most imptly, sry to louis. i tink a black mark will b left on my profile 4eva. sumone will probably pt a finger n whisper " wat? how can u trust dat qianwei? rmb how dat time he TOTALLY 4got abt louis? how can we let him do it? he will probably 4get all abt it." i tink after this event, my confidence is completely shattered. i mean, i wanted to put in my part of effort, to make this a memorable time 4 everyone, de least i can do is to ensure everyone will turn up, n 2 tink i totally 4got abt 1 person. OMG... now i really doubt myself whether i will make a gd leader, or even succeed in life. n i signed up 4 the OBS committee next year. i tink i shld just resigned...i dunno. i mean, wat a blunder, wat a horrendous mistake...in the end, i have only myself to blame for this ting, dat made so many ppl unhappy. i must apologise...
