[[01 malaysian trip '05]]

well, i am back frm the malaysian GTC trip of 01 scouts. the trip lasted frm 23rd to de 27th of dec. it was pretty fun lah. n slack 4 a GTC, i mean after de horror i've been thru last year it is like siao lor. so dis is damn slack.

23rd: reached RI at 6.45am. supposed 2 reach at 6.30 but nvm. took a cab dere cos it was raining n inconvenient 2 take de MRT. i mean getting ur shoes wet on the 1st dae isnt sumting veri comfortable is it? we took a grp foto den we set off.

went by de tuas 2nd link. so de rest of de dae was just bus ride lor, wif regular stops n everyone is like eating ramly burger or buying bubble gum. reached pahang at abt 7pm i tink. btw, our lodge was in tents, in a cave lor. dats damn siao. but it is quite cool. it is a pretty big cave, n echoes can b heard, but it is quite dark inside. n dere is a wet puddle. it can b slippery n de stairs leading up 2 de cave is like rusty n gonna collapse any moment. oh yah, dere is no running water. only got a well dere, n de toilet has no flush, so has to draw water n flush it. haha. interesting xperience cos all of us 1st time drawing water from wells. de well water look dirty but when u draw it up it is actually quite clean.

24th: de 2nd dae is veri eventful. de whole dae was abseiling and natural rockwall climbing. dere were 1 rock climbing stations n 2 abseiling stations. on abseiling is easier cos de cliff is smoother. rock climbing is pretty tough man. cos it is natural, so de grips n footholds r quite hard 2 find. but leonard reached de top lor. wtf...i didnt even made it 2 haf way pt...abseiling is much more fun. it is quite scary at 1st but once u get de hang of it(no pun intended), it is quite easy.

25th: the 3rd dae was water caving no.1, followed by bus ride 2 perak campsite. the water caving was fun lah. but like more dan haf de journey spent on trekking in the jungle. not much of a caving huh? but it was fun lah. de cave when we reach inside was seriously huge. on de way we went thru a lot of streams so all our shoes n track pants were wet. had 2 wear track pants cos we might cut ourselves in the caves. den we had 2 get a bit dirty squeezing in the cave. den after lunch set off 4 de new campsite. when we reached dere it was like heaven. de toilet was much better, wif proper showering facilities. dere was a store near it dat sell snacks n stuff. well it is like dose place tourists go to. den got sell ramly burger oso. haha. but at nite, in the 'hall' as we call it, dere r like hell lot of insects lor. a lot of bees on the ground. n de farni ting is dat J1s dun allow us 2 wear shoes inside. so like we were damn careful walking in it cos de bees still had deir stings on. n tons of insects 2 like grasshopper, mosquitoes, flies n other bugs i cannot name. n at nite dere is fireflies! not a lot but definitely nice. haha. u can c just like de odd little speck of lite flying in the air at nite. so nice...

26th: well, dat dae was suppose 2 b de highlite of the whole trip. de white water rafting. but unfortunately, i developed a rash thruout the previous nite arnd my neck. itch like hell. i tink it is sum allergy. walau. nevertheless, in the morning was river caving no.2. dis one is better, grander n more fun. we had 2 crawl like in almost pitch black in the water. we were totally drenched. n de sand hurts ur knee and hands when u put pressure on them. n de rocks overhanging r damn low, so have 2 b damn careful. n at certain times of crawling u cant c a time. it was damn fun n nice experience nonetheless. but after getting myself wet. de rash spread 2 my whole upper body cos of the sand in the river water in the cave. so i coundnt make it 4 de rafting n had 2 stay back. initially de plan 4 dose not going was dat to let dem go visit a castle, but it was called off. so we had like 5 hours of nothing staying at camp. abt 10+ of us. den dat nite we went 4 a campfire at a local sch, st michael institution.

27th: nothing liao. just took a loooooooooooong bus trip back 2 s'pore. on de way we visited a orang asli museum n a chocolate shop. de shop was nice, but it was obviously meant 4 tourists cos of the price...bought 2 tins of de cheapest chocolates. got tongkat ali choc man! bet dey dun have dat in switzerland...
