[[GTC hike 2005]]

on fri 11th nov was the annual GTC hike. it is de killer camp. luckily dis year only have a 1 dae hike. last time is 5 dae camp. cos dis year got trip 2 malaysia. yay. but still it is tiring (duh). we hiked a total of 26.9km. quite a lot huh. but last year yuezheng said we hiked like 30km in 1 dae. oh wellz. but hu cares man. assembly place was at boon lay mrt station at 8am. den we had inspection n briefing until 9. den set off. inpection went well lah, 4 our patrol at least. we were 2 1st 2 finish. de sec1s screwed up as usual. but cannot blame dem lah. last year we oso liddat wat. each patrol dis year got diff route, n de patrol leader will draw lots. after plotting our MRN n determining our route. we went off! i was navigating 4 de 1st patrol. haha. 1st checkpt was in NTU. den after dat walked along old choa chu kang rd. de place wif all de graves n cemeteries. haha. 2nd checkpt was in sum ulu place. cos like nobody dere. n plants growing everywhere. den 3rd one is at a temple at bricklands road. 4th is at a playgrd in bukit batok i tink. we had our lunch dere. 2pm having lunch. i was like starving liaoz. 5th one is at sum construction site lah. but i screwed up. we ended up on the other side of PIE, n couldnt cross it. dat place was like damn complicated. wif like 2 canals n AYE n a flyover. how 2 cross?! den we walked along PIE. (fun man) walked like dunno how long lah. on de side de grass patch dere. walau, de journey seemed 2 take 4eva man. den finally went 2 de toh tuck avenue. n into clementi. we walked past nan hua pri! (yay my pri sch) haha. i was quite moralised den cos i am pretty familiar wif clementi. dere is de last checkpt, a taxi kiosk opposite nan hua sec sch. finally we went 2 de end pt, at west coast park. whew. when we finished it was 7pm. just nice. de dateline 4 reaching. haha. so we set off at 9am, ended at 7pm, took 10 hours. pretty long i tink. de whole ting ended at 10pm, cos got debriefing n VOJ. our patrol was having a slpover at yuezheng's house, wich is like 5 min walk away frm west coast park. weijie tore his knee ligament according 2 him, so he went home. anywae after we reached yuezheng house we washed up n bathed n slept. everyone woke up at 4am. start 2 to hike log liao. must hand up on sat 12th nov at 3pm. at ri. so must rush n pia thru the morning. we finished it at like 2pm. n sadikin took at taxi 2 ri. haha. so dat is 10 hours of hike; 10 hours of hike log. den must still c if our log pass or fail. cos it is damn complicated. need 2 draw de checkpt map; route map. n all dose stuff. dats y took so long.

now i must go 4 lunch liao. going 4 a chalet at changi dere. 1st one by de 6g ppl i tink; den on mon it is de one by 2L. haha, same place man. so it is like 2 chalets in 3daes. siao lor. sum more my thighs r still having cramps after walking 4 so long. but i am looking 4ward 2 both haha. ooops, must hurry now. so i wont b around from 13nov 2 15th. so cya guys!
